The market named the Spurs to hold Game 5 — favored by five and a half at home, roughly two-to-one on the night. Our structural read, made openly against that price in the manner of the May 24 France forecast, was a single sentence: the Knicks close on the road in Game 5. They were the road-closeout machine of the entire postseason; they had already taken two in San Antonio; the longest chain does not flinch at venue. When structure and the book disagreed, structure was right.
Honesty, because the desk trades on it: our probability hedge led with "Knicks in 6," and the night landed on our second tier, "Knicks in 5." The modal guess was not the outcome.
